
Authors note: When viewing TIFF files, use XV 3.1 or better, or an appropriate viewer. It is darn well worth it for those NASA images, which are 1 KM resolution, and are UPDATED EVERY 15 MINUTES! (TIFF format)
P.S. Yes, I am aware that these images are large...but GOES-8 and 9 have fantastic resolution...that cannot be easily reduced without severely harming quality. 28.8 KB modem--strongly recommended. For those of you out on the road chasing, look at the file types, sizes, and update frequency, if known, for your best image option. This page last checked/updated January 18, 1997.
